About Us

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbour as yourself.

There is no commandment greater than these.’
- Mark 12:31

Redeemer Church Nottingham

Redeemer Church Nottingham was launched in September 2017.

The people who launched Redeemer all came from Cornerstone Church Nottingham (on Castle Boulevard) to start a church to the west of Nottingham. The name ‘Redeemer’ refers to the fact that in the Bible, Jesus Christ is referred to as our redeemer. Whether you are a committed Christian or just enquiring about the Christian faith, you are very welcome to join us.

Each Sunday there are groups for children and young people.

On the third Sunday of every month the Bible passage being preached at Redeemer is also preached in Cantonese in a separate part of the building. There are people from many different nationalities at Redeemer and, recently, many have arrived from Hong Kong.

We are affiliated to the FIEC (the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches).

Leadership

Redeemer is led by our minister and elder Pete Brown along with our other elders: Simon Lister, Stephen Tilson, Sebastien Bonicel and James Clay. Together they are responsible for overseeing the church and leaders within Redeemer. They take the lead in strategic decision making and prayer.

The Redeemer Elders are supported by a team of deacons who are responsible for the various ministries within the church - pastoral care, evangelism, music & worship, production, finance, children & youth, and social justice.
