Visiting Us on Sundays

Coming to one of our Sunday services is the best way to experience life as part of Redeemer Church.

How to find us

Morning Services

Our morning services begin at 10:30 am. Between 250 and 350 other people will be there, and there are specific groups for all babies, children and young people.

What happens in a service?

During our service, we spend time worshipping God in prayer and song with contemporary songs and older hymns; we hear about God’s mission in our city, nation, and world; and we hear the Bible read, with a 35 minute sermon to help us understand it and apply it to our lives.

To hear some of our previous teaching or catch up on sermons, head to our Soundcloud.

FAQs:

  • Our service starts at 10:30 am, but don't worry if you're late, our Welcome Team will make sure you can find a seat. Our doors open 30 minutes before the service start. Tea and coffee is served after the service.

  • Details of how to find us and where to park can be found on our How to find us page.

  • There is no dress code, please wear whatever is most comfortable for you.

  • The majority of our seating is in the main auditorium. There are also a number of theatre style seats upstairs, on our balcony. Sit wherever you feel comfortable. We do not recommend the balcony seating for those with limited mobility. Our Welcome Team will be happy to help you if you need assistance.

  • Our service is usually around an hour and a half, aiming to finish around 12:00 pm.

  • During our service we have groups for children and youth, which begin part way through the service at around 11:00 am. Our groups are suitable for children of all ages from newborn to 18.

If you are bringing Children or Youth for the first time please take them to the foyer to be registered. We will then direct you to their groups. The Duty Manager will also be in the foyer wearing an orange lanyard if you need further assistance.

If your child requires any additional accommodations, please send us an email us and we will do our best to answer any further questions.

  • We aim to make our Sunday church services accessible and inclusive to everyone. The building is easily accessible, with step free access from both Foster Avenue and the car park at the rear of the building. The rear car park has three disabled spaces and there is on street parking on Foster Avenue, although this is limited.

We have accessible toilets on both our ground and first floors and a lift is available for those who need to use it to access our first floor. However, the second floor, used by the older Youth group, is not accessible for those with limited mobility.

The main auditorium set up with a T-loop system, please ask for a T-loop device at the Welcome Desk.

We also have live multilingual captioning of the service which can also be used as real time subtitling for those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, those with auditory processing issues or anyone else who would find it helpful to read along. This can be accessed via Breeze Translate. To use this service as subtitles, select English as the translation language.

Please ask a member of the Welcome Team (who will be wearing lanyards) if you require any assistance, or email the church office if you require more information prior to visiting.

  • People often stay and chat after the service and tea and coffee is served for around 30 to 45 minutes. There will also be people around if you wish to pray with someone.

  • If you’re new to Redeemer we’d love to get to know you. Please head over to our Connect area at the back of the auditorium, on the far side of the door you entered through. Or introduce yourself to anyone who spoke from the stage during the service.
