Welcome the Nations with Friends International:
This year we have an amazing opportunity to share the gospel with over 13,000 International Students who will arrive in Nottingham over the next few weeks. At Friends International we create opportunities for local Christians and Christian students to build friendship and share faith with them.
We are seeking more hosts for our Local Link hospitality programme. This enables us to link you to some international students so that you can meet up with them a few times each term for a meal in your home or a walk or visit somewhere. Last year we had 38 volunteers hosting 75 students. This year we hope to have 50 volunteers hosting at least 100 students. Could you help? We also provide cross-cultural Bible training for International Students and Professionals who would like to develop their skills in understanding God's word and sharing it faithfully in a variety of contexts. We also welcome others who are seeking to share the Gospel across cultures. It will start on October 24th with a free trial session and continues on one Saturday a month at Cornerstone until next June.

A message from the NG9 prayer group…
The NG9 Schools Prayer is a group of christians from different churches with a heart for schools who meet at least once a term to pray for our school communities in the NG9 area.
Throughout the year we deliver edible treats to let them know we are praying for them and to thank them for all they do.
Our next meeting is on Friday 9th October

At this year’s Midlands Women’s Convention Kirsten Guthrie will help us dive into the big picture of Ephesians. We’ll consider the glorious reality of a church strong in Christ and how we live in that strength, together as his church.
We’d love you to join us this year, as we sing, pray, listen to God’s Word and enjoy a great day out together with other women. Why not invite some friends to join you for the day? MWC is suitable for women aged 14 and above. We hope to see you there!

Many have been devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026, in which Pastor Robert Guanco tragically lost his life and others were injured.
Cate Ross-Waddell, from Redeemer, had been volunteering with Compassion UK at the conference, where it had been hoped 1000 children could receive sponsorship to release them from poverty.
